Facebook announced offers last month as a replacement for check-in deals, but despite the big splash, thus far, only larger, premium advertisers are being allowed into the pool.

A spokesperson for the social network told our sister blog Inside Facebook:

We are slowly rolling offers out over the course of the coming weeks, but eventually, any business with a page will be able to run an offer.

Offers are a self-serve alternative to check-in deals, whereby page administrators can post them on pages without requiring approval from Facebook; users can redeem them by clicking on linked words to receive them via email.

Readers: Do you think the delayed rollout of offers is a case of favoring larger advertisers?

In 2011, Facebook sold almost $4 billion in advertising impressions, clicks, likes, and more. However, can Facebook Ads deliver more than just ?likes? for its own Facebook Pages and internal traffic? Join us at AllFacebook Marketing Conference on June 28-29, and hear from a panel of brands and agencies who are making Facebook Ads work to drive traffic, sales, and revenue on their brand sites? outside the walled garden of Facebook.
